This holiday season Americans are eating out more than ever. In the past 3 months, dining alone has risen 4% across the country. So, we wondered, where? Is it the small independents? The big chains? Diners? Nope, it was McDonald's.
Data analysis by Food Service Direct (FSD), the leading online marketplace for bulk goods and food, broke down the most sought after fast food and casual dining in each state, and then looked at the numbers as a whole to see where Americans are still eating.
Overall McDonalds is the most visited restaurant nationwide. Now, of course, that doesn't mean every small food business should move to quick burgers and fries, but it does show how speed and cost are still big drivers of diners who are skipping the kitchen.
